AMA encourages family cruising and welcomes children ages 7 and above.  Each of its 20 ships on the rivers of Europe varies in size with the 196-passenger AmaMagna the largest and the 102-passenger AmaDouro, cruising Portugal and Spain's Douro River the smallest. Tipping is not included in the cruise fare and is left to guests' discretion.

Plus Take Advantage of a Reduced Deposit of just $20 per person, with final payment  due no less than 90 days prior to departure or within 1 business day when the cruise departs in less than 90 days.

Emerald Cruises - BOGO Two For One Savings

Emerald Cruises, part of the Scenic Group, has been awarded the Cruise Critic Editors Pick Award for “Best River Line for Value” for five years running thanks to its modern ships and inclusive pricing. Their river cruises sail the major European rivers plus the Mekong River through Cambodia and Vietnam. 

Emerald Cruises' ships feature a heated pool with a retractable ceiling that converts at night into a movie theater, a putting green, fitness center and spa treatments.  In addition to the standard guided sightseeing excursions, their on-shore explorations include a choice of experiences highlighting local customs; active adventure guided bicycle tours and hikes; and exclusive explorations of historic landmarks.

Children over age 12 are allowed but passengers under age 21 must be accompanied by an adult over the age of 21 and must share their accommodation with that adult.  Emerald's pricing includes all on-board meals, gratuities on and off the ship, tours at each destination, and even airport transfers to and from the ship.  Each ship accommodates up to 182 passengers in 92 cabins.

Each of Viking's ships cruising Europe's rivers is identical and accommodates a maximum of 190 guests in 95 staterooms.  Guests must be 18 and older to cruise on Viking, with at least one person in each stateroom age 21 or over.

Viking's comprehensive cruise fare includes port taxes and fees; wine, beer and soft drinks with lunch and dinner; locally guided excursions at each destination; and roundtrip airport transfers when air is provided by Viking.
